After flattening the bench, the chop for my leg vise was a bit proud of the surface, so I cut it back to being flush with the bench top again. This required redoing the decorative curve. I’d thought to put it off, fearing that it would be a long process, but gritted my teeth and got started and found that I’d forgotten that it wasn’t very hard. Took about 30 minutes all told, including refinishing the freshly worked surface and sanding it a bit (after this photo; it was still wet here) to feather it back. All good now.
